Marketing Coordinator

Position Summary

  • Coordinate all marketing and communications activities to promote awareness of IndyHumane’s mission and services using a broad set of channels including e-mail, social media, web, advertising, public relations, signage, video and more.
  • Create and distribute content for various Facebook, Twitter, and other social media channels operated by IndyHumane
  • Manage creation of and adherence to social media editorial calendars
  • Monitor campaign performance by creating and delivering reports on social media engagement, post effectiveness, and determining return on investment
  • Primary contact for third party agency’s, responsible for providing leads and ideas for public relations efforts and manage timeline of other deliverables including website updates and other printed projects.
  • Create and distribute creative content, including graphics, flyers, brochures, signage, presentations, photos, videos, and other items as requested or needed by IndyHumane staff.
  • Work with IH Medical staff to promote Medical Sponsorships on a weekly basis
  • Develop and send Monthly Donor E-news “Small Bites”, as well as monthly IH Internal Staff Newsletter., and employee spotlights
  • Deploy all fundraising emails from direct mail vendor.
  • Maintain consistent brand image, product positioning and messages throughout communication initiatives, promotions, and events.
  • Manage Marketing/Social Media Intern(s).
  • Work closely with Event and Corporate Relations Manager for all event communications and fulfillment of corporate sponsorship benefits.
  • Appears in media spots when appropriate.
  • Develop a knowledge of the mission and strategic plan of the Indyhumane
  • Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned
  • Attends regular Development team meetings and IndyHumane all-staff meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum two years marketing experience
  • Ability to prioritize and work effectively as a member of a large, dynamic team consisting of internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in written form
  • An understanding of marketing, with some development experience preferred
  • Strong writing skills, ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software; knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign a plus
  • Electronic database management experience a plus; work with SalesForce.com or Blackbaud/Convio products a plus
  • Flexible self-starter, capable of effectively managing one’s own time and priorities; able to take ownership of assigned tasks and produce exceptional results with little oversight
  • Must work effectively under stress and adjust to changing conditions.
